By instilling in everyone that by their contribution as an individual and the population’s contribution as a whole, the environment will benefit in all aspects: air and water quality, visual appeal, safety, increased sense of pride in one’s community, and a better overall quality of life.

It always been easier to work as a team than as an individual, but each individual’s contribution adds to the success of the team as a whole.

This is capitalizing on the idea of profit sharing: when everyone benefits from the end product, each individual has a greater motivation to make the project a success; the higher the level of success, the greater the benefit for everyone.

As an example, take littering. One person throwing a piece of trash on the ground is not going to destroy the environment in itself. But if everyone litters, it doesn’t take long for the whole landscape to become a trash dump.

The reverse of this is the desired result and shows the same principle: If one person picks up some trash each day, it probably won’t make a huge impact, but you can see the difference. However, if everyone picks up trash on a constant basis, the effect will be a beautiful non-polluted environment in very little time at all.

The preservation of the environment provides both the enjoyment of the community and its safety.

People love to walk and see flowers , trees, birds and animals.

People do not want toxins in the air, the water, or in the food that they eat.
