Informative Speech?
I need to write an informative speech for my public speaking class, and I can’t think of a good topic to write on. I need a topic where there isn’t any opinions involved or if it is a tricky subject a way to avoid personal preferences. The speech needs to be about 6-8 minutes. So if anybody could give me some good topics to write about that would be great.

If you can find 3 magazine articals on a subject or 5 newspaper articals or one good size book you’ll have 6-8 minutes worth of material easy.
Avoid topics such as religion and politics, because its hard to do anything other than an opinion on those topics.
Then choose something you are interested in but not something everyone knows about.

Deliver a speech to demonstrate (it’s a form of speech to inform, right?). I guess your teacher would love that. How to prepare sushi, perhaps? That’ll only take you 7 minutes. I did that before and my prof liked it!
