It should be italicized.

If your word processor has the capacity, you must underline the Title. For the last word on this and all related subjects get a copy of Kate Turabian’s classic work on Style. If you are handwriting as in an exam, Quotes are appropriate. In print, Italics may be used.

If it’s hand-written, you use an underline. If it’s typed, you use italics.

actually, a book should be underlined. short stores/essays in italics

If you are typing it on the computer it should be Italicized; if you are writing it by hand, it should be underlined ( b/c it is hard to italicize when you write).
