u forgot to multiply the “3” by twelve
u should have gotten 12x = 4x +3x + 36
then simplify and solve for x
when you multiply both sides remember to multiply each term, even the ones that are not a coefficient of x
final answer is x = 36/5

It should be done this way
x = 1/3 (x) + 1/4 (x) + 3
x = (4x + 3x + 36)/ 12
By cross multiplication we get,
12x = 4x + 3x + 36
12x = 7x + 36
12 x – 7x = 36
5x = 36
x = 36/5
