I really need help with my biology project, its an emergency!?

Well I have to do a biology project dealing with feeding goldfish aspirin and seeing if that’ll affect their growth. This is all taking place over a 10 week period. I need 10 goldfish and i went to a local pet shop and theyre 4 dollars for one. I can’t spend more than 50 dollars for my project. HELP! Does anyone know a type of fish that’s really cheap and lives for a long period of a time and a pet store that sells cheap fish? Plus I need help on taking care of fish and tips. PLEASE. it’s an emergency! Also I will not be putting the fish in tanks, they’ll be put in bowls. HELP!

Your $4/ea is probably for fancy goldfish.

Feeder Goldfish are usually much, much cheaper.

Ask for them at any pet store.

Depending on their supply, you could get several for a dollar.

Please reconsider getting a tank for them.

The price between the bowls and tanks is very small.

If you put them in bowls, most likely none will survive

your 10-week period. Those are my 2 biggest tips for you.

If you would like care tips, you can email me.

No Problemo.

You can probably get aspirin from your parents or grandparents. I know walmart sells fish for like $2 each. So thats, give or take, $20. I have no idea how much bowls cost.

Fish tips: First thing, do not over-feed them they do not know when they are full and will eat till they die.

2nd: you will have to get some kind of air pump or plant ( your choice) to put in the tank to keep oxygen in there. If you don’t the fish will suffocate. I believe an air pump would work better because you could use 1 on all of them and use it on each one at different times of the day.

3rd: when you first get your fish, don’t just dump them in the water. When they are in the bag still put them in the water. The temperature of the water around the fish will become the same as in the bowl. If you don’t do this the fish will die of shock

4th: Every 4 weeks you need to change out the fish’s water. Put them in bags while you change the water. DO NOT USE TAP WATER the chlorine will kill them if you do use tap water let it sit out in an uncovered container for 2 days then it will be safe for the fish. When putting the fish back in the water treat them just like you did when you got them ( see the 3rd thing) If possible use distilled water

Hope I helped!

all i can say is putting the fishes in a bowl will kill them and to treat them with proper care simply feed them regularly and clean their water frequently. and a beta fish lives for a very long time.

if you spend four dollars each on 10 goldfish, you should have 10 dollars left over which should be plenty to buy a small bowl for them and, if you don’t already have asparin at your house, you should have enough for that too. and if not, you should mow lawns, or babysit or something!?!?!?!
