I need to perform a speech that is 4 minutes long…help!?
I have it memorized, but when I recite it, it’s only 2 minutes and 29 seconds. Does anyone have an idea that will help me make it longer? I already tried speaking very slowly.

Talk a little slower and enunciate very clearly. Make it so that there is a short pause between each paragraph.
Also, what is your subject about? If there is anyway, try to expand apon it a little more to add to your speach.

What is your speech? One way you can make it longer is by introducing your self. Spend 30 secs or more on introducing your self and the the topic. You can also ask a question in between your speech. Or before you start your speech. Example- if you are giving speech about obesity, you can ask ,” how many people are affected by this condition in America? Wait for answers and this will give you some time.

JUST talk really….really, really slowly
and add pauses where you think they belong. Maybe like a 5 second pause while the audience absorbes the information.
Then, say each sentence mad slowly so the minutes go by
