I need to know how to write something in the form of a play?
I have been challenged with the task of writing a two page one act play on a trial in the prehistoric times of King Hammurabi using his Code of Laws. What I need to know is how to write this play. What is the form of a play?

When you write a play, you list the name of the character speaking, and then put colon after the name. Then you write the dialog (what the person is saying.) If you want to show action, then you put that in parentheses. For example:
Student (scratching head): How do you write a play?
Teacher: Really, you don’t know how?
(Student frowns a little and shakes his head.)
Student: I really don’t know.
Teacher (sitting down next to the student and pulling out a book): Here. Let me show you.
