Your supervisor is first level for conflict resolution. If the boss doesn’t do his job, then his supervisor is next in line. The EEO office is always a means to take issues up with, and finally there is the HR office for problem solving. Now that is the right way to do it.

For myself, and where I work, conflict resolution is best accomplished by ignoring the problem, which I can do very easily. We have a small shop of 6, and our supervisor. There is only one person who thus far has been a problem for anyone, and we basically ignore him. I am confident that eventually the situation will come to a satisfactory conclusion, and that individual may very well wish he had been more pliant in his attitudes.

My boss knows how I feel, and that I have refused to go farther up the line of management because of my concern of how it might affect him. Time will take care of this issue.

You confront the person you have the conflict with . You state the fact of what the issue is. Find a solution and resolve the problem. Always leave an open door for feed back .
