I need help with these problems!?

1)A park has 2 bike trails in the shape of similar quadrilaterals. Trail A has side lengths of 75m, 93m, 114m and 129m. The shortest side of Trail B is 50m. Luis rides his bike around Trail A once and Tara rides her bike around Trail B twice. Who rode the longest distance and by how much?

2)What is the Geometric Mean of 12 and

27?

a)39

b)19.5

c)18

d)15

3)Which of the following does not always bisect at least one side?

for number one you would have to right a few cross multiplication problems starting with soemthing like

50 = X

75 114

when you do this out you get

50(114)=75X

5700=75X

5700/75=X

76=X

so now you have 2 sides of trails B which are

50 and 76

now you can cross multiply again to get another side

50 = X

75 93

50(93) = 75X

4650 = 75X

4650/75=X

62=X

Now you have 3 sides of trail B 50,62,76 the last sidfe you can find with one last cross multiplication

50 = X

75 129

50(129)=75X

6450=75X

6450/75=X

86=X

50,62,76,86

You now have all 4 sides of trail be now its just a matter of adding them all up on both trails and compare

Trail A:75+93+114+129=411

Trail B:50+62+76+86=274

This proves that trail B is shorter than Trail A by 137 meters

but since tara rode around twice she rode 548 meters so Luis rode the shorter distance by 137 meters

number 2 is kind of simple

do 12 times 27

then find the square root

12 X 27 = 324

the square root of 324 is 18 and the answer is 18

number 3 is altitude
