This looks like homework. At 10 years old, it is really not going to help you if someone gives you the answers to these questions because then you won’t be able to learn and understand it for your next level of math. Read through your textbook first.

Basically, you need to find some friendly (round) numbers to estimate, then go up and down from there.

For instance, in the first question, the square root of 225, I knew that 10 was too small, because 10×10=100, and 20 was too big, because 20×20=400. So I went halfway between those two numbers, 15, and found that 15×15 does equal 225. So that was my answer.

If 15×15 had been too big, however, I would have gone down to 14 and tried again; and if 15 had been too small, I would have gone up one and tried 16, and kept going that way till I found the right number.

For your bonus question, 576 and 6400 are the square numbers.

A number to the 2nd power (squared) is that number times itself. So

2 to the 2nd power (2^2) = 2*2 = 4

3 to the 2nd power (3^2) = 3*3 = 9

Use a calculator and your best guess to answer the problems above.

start by squaring all the numbers from 11-20. This should help you.

11×11=121

12×12=144

13×13=169

14×14=196

15×15=225

Keep going.

a)15 squared is 225 and square root of 225 is 15

Which are square numbers. Put the number in a calculator and hit the square root keep. OR keep squaring numbers until you find it. 70×70=4900, 80×80=6400.

Good luck!
