I need help with an Algebra 2 question.?

The expression 0.01E+0.003E^2 gives the thickness in millimeters of the insulation needed for the high voltage cable shown at the left. E is the number of Kilovolts carried by the cable. Find the thickness of insulation material needed for each voltage. 1 Kilovolt.

Please and thank you!

Basically your equation looks like this

T=.01E + .003E^2

T = thickness and E = kilovolts carred by the cable

If you want T, and we know the cable carries 1 kilovolt, then all we do if plug in our 1 for E so…

T = .01(1) + .003(1)^2

I think you can either do it or plug it into a calculator from there. Good luck and have a better day tomorrow.
