I’d like to help you think through the process too.

Start with X. Pick a number, keep it small so it’s easy to work with. I’ll choose 2. Now. Follow your order of operations (Multiply/Divide, Add/subtract) so multiplying by 2/3 should be done before subtracting 1.

2* 2/3 = 4/3 or 1and1/3.

Now subtract 1. = 1/3! 1/3 is your y value.

Ordered pairs mean x,y so we just found one is 2,1/3.

Here’s two more for you: 3,1 6,3

Sure.. Just pick any x. Work the equation to get your y

Let x be 1

So y = 2/3x – 1 = 2/3(1) – 1 = -1/3

So our first ordered pair is (1,-1/3)

Now let x be 2 (for example)

So y = 2/3x – 1 = (2/3)*2 – 1 = 4/3 – 1 = 1/3

So our next ordered pair is (2, 1/3)

Now let x be 12 (or whatever other number you might like)

So y = 2/3x – 1 = (2/3)(12) -1 =24/3 – 1 = 8 – 1 = 7

So our last ordered pair is (12,7)

Again you can use any value for x in this situation I just arbritrarily chose 3 values of x. Probably best to either use small numbers or numbers divisible by 3

Im assuming the question is

y = (2/3)*x – 1 and NOT y = 2/(3x-1)

All that is required of you is to find (x,y) pairs that satisfy this equation.

Put x = 0 then y = -1 …. (0,-1) is a pair

Put x = 3 then y = 1 …. (3,1) is a pair

Put x = 6 then y = 3 …(6,3) is a pair
