Explain why you want to be a class rep (you want to serve, to help others, etc.) and why you think you would be a good person for this position (I am a good leader and I am a fair minded person who can be reasonable and listen to all sides of an issue to find an agreeable solution.) Whatever you say, say it from the heart. People dislike dishonesty more than anything else, and they can sense it if you are trying to put them on or schmooze them to get a vote.
