English is a language known by many. Without it communication over the globe would not be possible. It is called the Universal language. It is used to communicate with other countries. Many people speak in different languages. True, but many also know English. So we can say that English is the key to global communication. Americans must learn English because first of all, they live in America. Second, they show respect to their nationality. And third, they hold the key to worldwide communication. Without English, no communication with other countries is possible.

If so, that’s a pretty egocentric way of looking at things and in many places it would do you no good at all, because in many parts of the world, English is an unknown language.
