I need help!! If this summary’s bad look on the Internet and no your not helping me cheat I just need ideas!

Has anyone read “The most dangerous game” By Richard Connell? If so at the end when Rainsford kills Zaroff imagine Rainsford is charged with murder would you say that he’s guilty or innoncent and why {at least 3 reasons} if you haven’t heres a summary: Sanger Rainsford, a famous big game hunter is sailing on a yacht when he falls overboard. To survive he swims to a nearby island. There he encounters General Zaroff who is friendly rich and a great hunter. Rainsford discovers that Zaroff is hunting humans because he’s bored of hunting animals. When Rainsford refuses to hunt with Zaroff he becomes the prey but manges to survive. In the end Rainsford makes it back to Zaroff’s house around 10 not 12,the time the game ends and Zaroff is surprised and alittle scared that Rainsford survived so he tells him he wins and that means Rainsford can leave the island. Rainsford says he still feels like he’s prey and tells Zaroff to get ready so Zaroff says “I see” and they fight and Rainsford wins.

It does give the idea that Rainsford killed Zaroff, Zaroff’s last line was “Splendid! One of us is to furnish a repast for the hounds. The other will sleep in this very excellent bed. On guard, Rainsford.” and Rainsford slept in the bed, which means Zaroff went to the dogs. I suppose an arguement of self defense might be made towards Rainsford being innocent, fearing winning was a way to have him lower his guard. My question would be who would charge him, the act took place on an island that does not appear to be within the legal jurisdiction of any country. Theres a lack of detail about how Rainsford wins, but its possible Zaroff’s onw dogs got him, which might make it considered an accident rather than a proper murder.

honest percption of threat to life is a valid defense. Using the info in the story to support this line of reasoning may be your best bet
