I need answers for why the age of alcohol drinking should be decreased?
I don’t think it should be decreased but I need some answers so help me out please..

nobody follows the laws anyway. im 15 and everyone my age has already been drunk, i mean our drinking age is 21. so many people start drinking at like age 12. so who cares if the drinking age is lowered. its one of those laws that was made to be broken. try to meet one person who has not had a single alcoholic drink by age 21, and think about how many people have fake id’s. decreasing the law might stop some people from drinking until of age, but it wont make much of a difference.

I live in Europe and most countries here permit alcohol at just about any age. Kids in Italy and France sometimes have wine with dinner. Many German kids drink small amounts of beer. Rather than being this big taboo thing, it’s just a normal part of life. By the time people reach driving age (18 here) they are past the stage in life where they want to go out and get plastered then drive somewhere. There are far fewer young people with drinking problems here than in the US.

In the United States, the required age for someone to be drafted into the armed forces is 18. A major argument is that if someone has to go to war against their will, shouldn’t they be able to drink alcohol….
Another thing is that at 18, an adult is considered mature enough to vote, but not mature enough to drink alcohol.
They get all the responsibilities of an adult, but don’t get the privileges.
