Although I do many volunteer projects each year, my favorite one is (my service). During my summers, I go and spend one week at (my church), where we are completely devoted to not merely repairing someone’s house, but also changing lives while we do it. We transform houses that are owned by under privileged and disabled people in our own community and we go in and fix them up: tasks range from re-doing roofs, to painting, to putting in new tile. We work from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm and than we go back to the church and have closing devotional.

I’m not exactly sure what closing devotional is. If it’s a benediction, I’d say that instead as it’s a more common phrase, at least where I live.
