i have it in my quiz and i answer it by help from one of my friend { ((x^3) -( 8)) ÷ (( x^2) -( 2x))}?

limt f (x) ; ((x^3) -( 8)) ÷ (( x^2) -( 2x))

x–> 2

i have this answers

2 , -2 , 6 , -6

and the answer was 6

how come????

x^3 – 8 = (x-2)(x^2 + 2x + 4)

x^2 – 2x = x(x-2)

Cross out the (x-2) and you have

(x^2 + 2x + 4) over x which if x=2 becomes

4+4+4 over 2 which is 12/2 or 6
