How to write this in the standard form y= mx+b?
Favorite Answer
y = 17/7 – 3x/7
y = -3x/7 + 17/7
7 is the common denominator so you can separate the expression in the numerator. then you switch it around to suit the formula y=mx+b
Since you want to restate it in the standard form y=mx+b,
you simply express (17-3x)/7 as 17/7 -3x/7,
then, arrange it following y=mx+b.
Finally, we have: y = -3x/7 + 17/7
Should you have point of clarification, just pose that question in this site. Goodluck!
so y=17/7-3x/7…….coz this is what happens when those curvy kinda brackets vanish…..u there?
Ok de ‘y’……..no,no,no, not this why (note please) & stop asking why this why & y not this why!
y= -3x/7 + 17/7………please concentrate…….u can also try this at home……..anyway lets continue….
y = -3x/7 + 17/7 & y= -(3x/7 + 17/7) & y = -(-17/7+3x/7)
& finally we find that x = (17- y)/3…..elementary my dear Holmes.
-5x + y =-7
