How to calculate density?

With D=m/v

mass = 4.53 kg;

volume = 225 cm cube.

how do i do divide kg by cm cube? and the answer is?

You CAN divide kilograms by centimeters to acheive density, because density’s UNITS are in kilograms per meter, or if you want, it can be in grams per centimeter…. It doesn’t matter…. Densities unit is just that.

So convert kg into g. 4.53kg = 4530g

Then when solve for density you will get: 20.13 g/cm3 (read as: 20.13 grams per centimeter cubed)

Or you can calucated it with kilograms/meter

Convert centimeters into meters…. 225cm = 2.25m

Then solve for density, and you get: 2.013kg/m3 (read as: 2.013 kilograms per meter cubed)

Hope this helps you out….

Dear Einsteins, I am taking a very low dosage of a particular drug (3 mg) but the tablet only comes in 50 mg. How can I calculate the dosage? I have been dissolving the tablet into a 30ml dropper bottle and taking 25 drops. A very rough calculation and one that is most likely incorrect! I need to know the density of the tablet to figure out the proportion to ml, right? Then what?

You have to know the unit of density first. I think density is given as “g/cm cubed”. So mass has to be expressed in grams. Move the Kg decimal 3 to the right to get it in grams. Your volume is already in cm cubed,

So, it’s 4530g/225 cm cube = 20.13g/cm cubed

One small correction to violet’s answer: density would be kilograms per cubic meter, not per meter, or grams per cubic centimeter, not centimeter. Meter and centimeter are length. Cubic meter and cubic centimeter are volume.
