How do you measure the volume of a rectangular solid? a liquid?

a solid you just measure and multiply base times width times height = volume.

The volume is the length x the width x the height. Example a block that is 2 feet long by 3 feet wide by 1 foot high is 2 x 3 x 1 = 6 cubic feet. A liquid will take up the shape of the vessel, so if you pour water into a box and the box measures like the one above, the water will have a volume of 6 cubic feet,
