Recommend you put your thoughts down on the key things you plan on covering. Your life experiences, people that had influence on you. Most books have I have mention a lot about the people that had the influences on their lives, what was so special about these people, a little on their backgrounds, etc.

I had to do a paper once on my life experiences. I made notes on all the tragedies and bad things, how I overcame them, and what I learned from them. Also made notes on the best things and happiest times, why these times were so special, and how they added value to my life. Also took notes on the special people in my life that influences me, my professors, friends, business associates, parents, family, relatives, etc.. Lastly I made notes on world events that helped shape my life. Some of these events we great like the landing on the moon, others were different like the passing of a president, a major flood, bad typhoon etc.

Once this was accomplished I went back and elaborated on each note. Keep in mind you want to keep the readers interest. If you want people to buy your work, you have to make it sellable.

Once you have your thoughts ideas together, start your work. Check out some sites about publishing your own work, it’s a lot less expensive.
