How do I solve these fractions?
Okay, so I’m doing my homework. It says: Simplify the following expressions.
Then it shows problems like:
a/3+b/3
and
5a/b-2a/b
What do I do?
Some of them are squared, too!
Thanks a ton!!!

If they have the same denominators like these do, just combine the numerators. Your first would be (a+b)/3 and second is 3a/b

a/3 + b/3
= (a + b)/3
5a/b – 2a/b
= 3a/b
