How do I make a model Hopi Pueblo?

My 8 year old son has to make one for school. I’ve search on here but all I can find is about the culture and how they accually built them. What I need is something to tell me how to go about making one. I can’t even find any pictures of what they look like. Is there a site that would show school projects so I can see what I need to do?

You mean the buildings? Like the ones on the cliffside in the American southwest. Theres a picture in the Hopi artical on Wiki, I think the last episode of the X-Files took place largely in a pueblo.

Started with a search on “Pueblo” at Wikipedia and got this:

“Pueblos are traditional communities of aboriginal Americans in the southwestern United States of America. The communities are recognized worldwide for adobe buildings, which are sometimes called “pueblos,” although some pueblos only have a few of these buildings still standing.”

I then searched on Adobe in Wikipedia and found this as the composition of adobe for the pueblos:

“An adobe brick is made of clay mixed with water and an organic material such as straw or animal dung. The soil composition typically contains clay and sand. Straw is useful in binding the brick together and allowing the brick to dry evenly. Dung offers the same advantage and is also added to repel insects. The mixture is roughly half sand (50%), one-third clay (35%), and one-sixth straw (15%).”

Links below have some pictures of what a pueblo looks like.
