Area = L x w (length times width)
Perimeter = 2 x (L + W)

formula for area is length x width (l x w)
For instance, if you had a rectangle with a length of 10 inches and a width of 2 inches, the area would be 20 sq inches.
10 x 2 = 20
The answer for area is always stated in square units. When I typed the phrase “finding the area of a rectangle” as a yahoo web search, this is one of the sites that popped up. It sounds like it might be a good resource for other math homework questions!
