Need more information — what quantity are you measuring? Say fixed costs; then you would take (fixed costs/sales), and multiply this ratio by 100 for a percentage measure.
As an example, if sales are $500,000 and fixed costs are $100,000, then 100000/500000 = .2 = 20%, and fixed costs are 20% of sales.

You take the number of what ever it is you need the percent of, divide it by the total sales and then multiply by 100.
Ex: 5 ( cakes ) / 50 ( total baked goods ) = .1 . .1 x 100 = 10. 10% of the total sales were cakes.

part of sales/total sales x 100
ie:
330 (part of sales) divided by 1000 (total sales) = .33
.33 x 100 = your percentage, in this case 33%

Divide the total sales by the price of the product then mutiply it by the number of products sold. This should give the percentage of total sales for that item.

more details would help, to find a percent use this equation:
Say you are trying to find 50% of 400
x/400 = 50/100
Then slove for x
100x = 20,000
x = 200
