How can you find the slope of a line…?

if you know its vertical or horizontal anad are given 1 point on the line?

I don’t understand what you mean about knowing “its vertical or horizontal.” Horizontal lines have a slope of 0. Vertical lines have an “undefined” slope.

However, if you’re given 1 point on a line and it’s Y-intercept (where it crosses the Y-axis), use the slope formula (rise/run) with (B,0) as your other point.

if you have two points:

y#1-y#2

______

x#1-x#2

then you get the slope

if you get the answer 0 over a number, it is horizontal

if it is a number over 0, it is vertical

if you have one point on the x axis and one point on the y axis you plug it into the pitch equation y/x (rise over run)

y2 + y1/ x2 +x1 …. ex. (1,2) and (3,4).. it would be 4 + 2/ 3+1… hope that makes sense
