How do you find the limit of (x+5)^1/2-3/(x-4) as the limit approaches 0?

Just plug in 0 for all the x’s.

(0+5)^(1/2) – 3/(0-4)

= 5^(1/2) – 3/-4

= sqrt(5) + 3/4
