You can name of several historical figures…. but modern? If you are christian just go pick a random nun that isn’t too gaga over divine will of god, and more towards helping people.

If you are Buddhist, just pick a random monk that has made contribution to local society.

If you need someone famous… well…. i have to say you are out of luck. Everyone has ulterior motives now days, rather it is for fame, for their satisfaction, their own personal pleasure, a tax cut trying to fit into tax bracket, which ever it may be, hardly no one does something with out some form of self gain.

…. you could try that high pope…there are many scientists / doctors who works abroad in third world country helping people for free, paid by sponcors…

If it is resent you can try for someone like Gandi, mother teresa… I guess Malcom X, Martin Luther would also fit under that Atticus Finch’s ideal… not so much under mocking bird because they wanted something but they were….
