Homework due tomorrow essay. trouble concentrating?

Ok so I have to write and 8+ paragraph essay for my honors history class about my culture and background and stuff. It’s due tomorrow!!! I haven’t even started!

I’m having trouble concentrating… I procrastinate a lot and it seems like I’m still in summer mode. Any tips?

Also do you think I’ll be able to write that much in less than a day?

I was a very terrible procrastinator, i never really changed till i figured out that its easier to do it right when i get home so i dont have to think about it again. As for writing that much in less than a day, absolutly, that is very easy. I havent tried this in history class, but every english class where i had a 4-5 page essay to write, and i waited till the last day. I would start off about my topic, explain/expound a little, then in the middle 2-3 pages(heres my secret) i would write about Ninjas! Yea it sounds really stupid, but I got an A or A+ on ever single essay i ever wrote. The thing is, the teachers have so much to read that they 9 times out of 10 only read the first paragraph-first page, and the last paragraph-last page. For the 1 time they do read more, my teacher actually gave me more points for being so creative. So i dont know if it will work in history, but it is probably the easiest thing to write about. =)

First, get off Yahoo! Answers. Second, look at the topic. Third, since you don’t have a lot of time, jot down some things you may use, like Paragraph 1- Intro – Cultural Importance

Paragraph 2 – How my ancestors lived

or whatever and then expand on to make your essay. I hope you get at least a B!

No problem, take lots of stimulants. Caffein is the best temporary one. Taurine is an amino acid that makes you think straight (but must be taken with caffein because it can make you tired). Down two “Red Bulls” or simular stimuant drink if available. If thats not available take some pain killers/decongestants which have caffein in them (for example, flu remodies/headache remedies). Also, take plenty of sugary drinks (high in carbs) to fuel your brain.

For future refference, the herb ephedra (from which Ephedrine is formed) is an amazing nervous system booster (and makes you think really well).

Although I advice you taking these stimulants just now, I wouldn’t recommend using them as a crutch/longterm. I’m like you too, I put things off due to stress (men are good at putting off responsibility!)

Use this as a lesson, the quicker you get down to doing something, the easier it is. Remember, little and often is always best.

Yes, you can. I have been writing essays, for geography, literature, social studies and english. Just do some online research or go to the library. Don’t lift off other people’s work, though.

Tip would be, ask yourself how important your studies is for your future. For me, I take 9 subjects. I feel sick and tired of them at times, but I continue to persevere and study hard. Reason being? I come from Singapore, a Pro-certificate country. I need qualifications.

Think about how important your history is to you.

Of course you can, but don’t feel like you have to write everything in one sitting. it’s best if you jot down some ideas first and make a little outline for yourself to organize your ideas. Then write a paragraph here and there throughout the day until it’s written. Then proofread then print out.

Applebeer explained it all,,, lol

you just have to sit in a quiet room all by your self, no distractions (music playing, tv on, kids running around you etc.) and concentrate. Just think how awesome you’ll feel after writing all of that.

Good Luck!
