Google…. start using it.

Enter the text of each of your assignment questions in the search engine and start reading. Your geography book would also be an excellent place to look.

Thematic map:

A thematic map displays the spatial pattern of a theme or series of attributes. In contrast to reference maps which show many geographic features (forests, roads, political boundaries), thematic maps emphasize spatial variation of one or a small number of geographic distributions. These distributions may be physical phenomena such as climate or human characteristics such as population density and health issues. These types of maps are sometimes referred to as graphic essays that portray spatial variations and interrelationships of geographical distributions. Location, of course, is also important to provide a reference base of where selected phenomena are occurring. Barbara B. Petchenik described the difference as “in place, about space.” While general reference maps show where something is in space, thematic maps tell a story about that place.

Fresh Water:

Mississippi River

Great Lakes in North America

Lake Baikal in Russia

Just a little fact:

Only three percent of the water on Earth is fresh water in nature, and about two-thirds of this is frozen in glaciers and polar ice caps. Most of the rest is underground and only 0.3 percent is surface water.

Landform:

I believe the earth is covered by 29.2 percent of landforms while 70.8 is water.

Climate Locations:
