As long as you answer the question fully, with a proper introduction and conclusion, I would say that 4 paragraphs would be fine.

I think you need another paragraph. What you MIGHT do is consider the political ramifications with respect the Roman Catholicism. This is the WHOLE impetus for the exploration of the New World. Since the Pope made a mark of demarcation, giving everything EAST to the Portugese and everything WEST to the Spaniards, once charged with the duty to explore and discover, the “Crusading Queen” (Isabella) pawned her own jewels to finance such an undertaking (remember this is the same woman who brought the Spanish Inquisition to Spain in order to remove heretics and Jews and drove the Moors out of Spain after 700 years of Al Andalus). is the professor strict? if the professor is picky (which some are) they might count off if it was written specifically in the directions. but some are more laid back and won’t care if you did a good paper.
