I was filling in the survey when all of a sudden the Light of Reason shone upon my simple head and the Voice of Reason spoke to me.
The Voice of Reason said to me:
“Are you nuts giving all this personal information to someone you have never met?”
I replied, “Take it easy, Voice of Reason. It says right there that this is confidential. See it there? Confidential!”
VOR: “But a con artist would say that, wouldn’t a con artist?”
Me: “Er, yes. I guess a person has to be careful on the Internet. Thanks, Voice of Reason. I hope that if this survey is on the up and up, the student is very successful, but I don’t think it’s a good idea to finish it.”
I’m sorry. I like to help, but this seems like a bad idea.
