help with math homework please. asap!!?
okay here are a few examples of my homework problems.
SLOVE FOR “X”
1) 5x+t=17
2) 3x=12c+6d
3) ax/6=2b
(/ meaning over like a fraction.)
4) 13(x+2g)-3(4x+5g)=0
okay. those are a few examples of what i am learning
now i need to know how to do it since you cant combine two different variables how do you come to an answer.
please answer asap.
can you also show me how do do one of them. #4 espically. lol.
😀
please and thank youuu.

5x=17-t Divide both sides by 5
x=(17-t) /5 Unless you have been given a value for t that’s
as far as you can go, and would be the answer.
2)3x=12c +6d factor out the 6
3x= 6(2c+d) Divide both sides by 3
x=2(2c+d) Multiply
x= 4c+ 2d That’s the answer, unless you have been given
values for c and d
3)ax/6=2b Multiply 6 both sides
ax=12b Divide a both sides
x=12b/a This is your answer unless you have
been given values for a & b
4)13(x+2g) -3(4x+5g)=0 Multiply
13x+26g-12x-15g=0 Combine like terms
x+11g=0 Subtract 11 g both sides
x= -11g This is your answer unless you have been given a
value for g
1) 5x+t=17
x=3
2) 3x=12c+6d
x=4c+2d
3) ax/6=2b
x=12b/a(like a fraction)
4) 13(x+2g)-3(4x+5g)=0
here’s how to solve:
use distributive property(multiply whats in the parenthesis by whats right out of them)
13x+26g-12x-15g=0
Next, simplify that
x+11g=0
finally, subtract 11g from both sides to get x alone on one side
x=-11g
PS> im only in 8th grade. i took this last year, and it really isn’t very challenging. u should get it after looking it over for a while.
In the 4th question,
13(x+2g)-3(4x+5g)=0
first get rid of the parenthesis by multiplying – and get
13x+26g-12x-15g=0
now do the math – and get
x+11g=0
now, more math – and get
x= -11g
Since X is what you are solving for, you are done.
13x + 26g -12x -15g = 0
x + 11g = 0
x = -11g
g = x/11
you need 2 equtions to solve the variables simultaneously, unless g is a constant then replace g and solve for x
