In the past, teachers use to use blackboards and meter stick as a pointer versus now they are starting to use whiteboards using colorful dry erasers and projection overheads with beautiful colorful illustrative powerpoints from computers. Students probably pay attention more.
Chalks break easily and cause powder all over everything. They are still used today but now with computers, we’re not limited to only chalkboards. Scratching on the blackboard really is annoying.
Show that students use to have to get a table piled full of books on the table in the library but now many use computers to find information. It’s fast, easy and more convenient for group (3or 4) to look at the computer monitor together and brainstorm together.
To show the past, you can get the pics to be in black n white and the new to be in color.
In the old pic show male students having to passing a love notes to his friends for his girlfriend in class and getting caught by their teacher.
In the new pic, show the male student text messaging love notes his girlfriend.
Also for the new, show a student by her locker hallway talking on their cellphones in a hallway (with a sign “Don’t BE CELLFISH. No cellphone allowed”),
Sometimes, teachers or the faculty dye their hair pink for charity. If so, use this as advantage by taking a pic of that teacher by student using a camera from their cellphone.
Take advantage of something striking and new at the school that was not possible before. I am sure there are many ways you can come up with things.
