Q30) Simplify this fraction.
(x² + 4xy + 3y²) / (x + 3y) multiply (x² – 2xy + y²) / (x² – y²) multiply (x + y) / (x -y).

x^2 = x on the second power (x *x)
so then x^2 – y^2 = (x+y)(x-y) which affects the last two fractions
= (x^2+4xy+3y^2)/(x+3y) * (x^2-2xy+y^2)/((x+y)(x-y)) * (x+y)/(x-y)
= (x^2+4xy+3y^2)/(x+3y) *(x^2 – 2xy+y^2)/((x-y)(x-y))
=(x^2+4xy+3y^2)/(x+3y)*(x^2-2xy+y^2)/(x^2-2xy+y^2)
=(x^2+4xy+3y^2)/(x+3y)
=(x^2+y(4x+3y))/(x+3y)
=(x^2+y(3x+x+3y))/(x+3y)
=(x^2+3xy+y(x+3y))/(x+3y)
=(x(x+3y)+y(x+3y))/(x+3y)
=((x+3y)(x+y))/(x+3y)
