Grammar sentence question?

Hey I have a grammar question… I know what an interrogative sentence is.. it’s a sentence with a command, right? Well, does this interrogative sentence end with a period or an exclamation point?

also, in this sentence, is the word “readers” a direct object or an indirect object?

sentence: “Sir Arthur Conan Doyle certainly gave READERS a wonderful gift when he created the character of Sherlock Holmes”. I think its an indirect object, is that correct? or is it a direct object?

Interrogative sentences are QUESTIONS.

Doyle gave what? Gifts, to whom, readers.

It aint a direct object.

An interrogative sentence is a sentence that asks a question so it ends in a question mark.

An exclamatory sentence ends in an exclamation point.

I believe readers would be an indirect object. But not sure.

an interrogative sentence ends with a question mark because you are asking a question. The indirect object is “readers,” because the person is the recipient of the giving.
