just look at the middle east…. they have all that oil yet their countries are very poor. One word…. exploitation.

Yes its true that asia has really rich natural resources but still has poor people because they are not using it for progress but for business and only the person in high position in the country can manipulate it… Others have sold their resources to other country. Thats why they are still poor people.

I don’t know what you are looking for, but I think the sentence is saying that even though Asia has rich natural resources, they are not benefitting the people who live there because so many Asians are very poor.

Well, this is supposedly true. Asia is over-crowded with people. Yes, Asia does have rich natural resources but since there are many people, not everyone gets to benefit the money.

Replace “Asia” with “The USA”, “Australia”, “Canada”, “The Middle East”, “Russia” or anywhere else and the statement is still true. It’s a totally meaningless generalization.
