Simple;
distance b/w George and John when John left Miami=distance covered by George in 3 hours=20×3=60km.
relative velocity of John with respect to George=10kph.
(i.e to George, it appears that John is travelling faster by a speed of 10kph)
hence, if n is the reqd. no. of hours,
nx10=60
so John will take 6 hours to catch up to George.
