British soldiers and American militiamen had to fight alongside each other during the war. British didn’t like the americans because they believed the colonists were cowards for leaving “civilization” or the mother country, England. Americans believed British were pompous, arrogant jerks. After the French and Indian War was done with, lands were left destroyed therefore the cost for repairs were great. To get money, Britain enforced taxes to get the americans to pay for it. Americans were glad that French were now gone but now, they would have to deal with Britain. The colonists just wanted to be left alone with their own country and didn’t want Britain to interfere. An example is the Proclamation Line of 1763, Britain drew an invisible line that said that no colonists should venture past the Appalachians. Americans believed that they had the right to do whatever they pleased in their own country because they were the ones who found it.
