Let a = measure of angle you are given

then 180 – a is its supplement

Note: supplementary angles add up to 180 degrees

take the number you have computed above and divide by 2 to find half its supplement

so x = (180-a)/2

if given an angle of 90 degrees, then using formula above, you will get 45 degrees as angle half its supplement

Hope this helps

the equation for supplement is (180-x) so if you need to find half it would be 180-x divided by 2. If they gave you a number in the problem then lets say they gave you angle a is 2 then it would be 2=(108-x) divided by 2
