Rewrite the equation in slope/intercept form to get

y=-3/4x+5/4

then change the intercept to 2

** if the point you are given is not the new intercept, then you have a bit more work

first put 3x + 4y = 5 into the y=mx+b form (i forget what its called)

m=slope

b= y-intersept

so 4y=-3x+5

y=-3/4x+5/4

so the slope’s gonna be -3/4 since the lines are parallel

since it passes through (0,2) you know that the y-intersept is 2

so the equation would be

y=-3/4x+2

find out how far off that equation is from the Y value you wanted (2) at the x value you specified (0), solve that equation for y (should look like y = …), then add or subtract the value that you just found from that equation. (for instance, if the value was 3 and you wanted 2, you would make it into y = … – 1)

slope of the parallel line is the same as this one so the slope is -3/4

so put this is point slope form

y-2=-3/4(x-0)
