Factoring, Please Help?
c^2 + 10c + 25 =
Thanks , I am lost
Favorite Answer
c^2+10c+25=0
(c+5)(c+5)=0 c^2 means each side has a c then +5 comes from 5*5=25 and 5+5=10 for 10c so…..
(c+5)(c+5)=0
-(c+5)=-(c+5)
(c+5)= -(c+5)<--- is the same as -1(c+5) so (c+5)= (-c-5) +c-5 = +c-5 2c= -10 divide both sides by 2 c= -5!!!!!!!
2) (c+5) (c+5)
This is the answer, but it is a bit hard to explain. Maybe someone else will explain.
To get the middle term you add the insides (5c) to the outsides (5c).
If you meant =0, then you have to solve.
I got this because you take the variable (c) and place it in the front of both the ( ). { (c )(c ) }. Then you take what multiplies to equal 25 and adds up to equal 10 (5&5) Since its all positive both signs would be +. { (c+5)(c+5) } the website below explains it better.
