Explaining Help??? (MATH)?
I have to explain how i did this, but i dont get it.
The rule is add 3 and I have to find the 100th term.
Term 1: 4 Term 2: 7 Term 3: 10
300*3=300+1=301=answer
4-3=1
My teacher says why i did 4-3……….

I don’t see where 4-3 fits in either, where are you getting the 4 from? All you need to have done is looked at the terms you are given (1, 2 & 3) then multiply by 3 (because the rule is add 3) & see what needs to be done then. So
1 x 3 = 3 (should be 4)
2 x 3 = 6 (should be 7)
3 x 3 = 9 (should be 10)
You look at the answers & what they should be & you should notice that you have to add one to get the answer. Thats where 1 comes from, not from 4-3.
Hopes this hasnt confused you lol i’m not that good at explaining things
