Exponential function is a function where something is raised to the power x like

e^x, 2^x, 9^x

here nothing of that sort appears.

Infact this is a linear function.

CHK:

A EXPONENTIAL FUNCTION CAN NEVER BE ZERO ( y !=0) FOR ANY x. In your question at x=0 ,y=0 =>its not a expo fn

An exponential function would be when x is to the power of a number more than 1.

In the question, x does not show a number to the top-right side, meaning it is to the power of 1.
