Equations with Variables on each side!!?
3k – 5 = 7k + 7
12p = 6 – 3p
5/6t + 4 = 2 – 1/6t
Thanks.

3k – 5 = 7k + 7
Say you want k on the left side and the answer on the right side so it can look like this (ex. y = 18 or x=7)
To get k on the left side, you need to get rid of 7k on the right side. To do that, subtract 7k from both sides.
3k-7k -5 = 7k-7k + 7
You should end up with this…
-4k – 5 = 7
Next, you want to get rid of the -5…to do that, you must add 5 to both sides.
-4k – 5 + 5 = 7 + 5
You should end up with this…
-4k = 12
Now, you want to get rid of -4 from K, to do that, you must divide -4 from both sides…
-4k/-4 = 12/-4
You should end up with this answer…
k = -3
-12=4k
-3=k
12p = 6 – 3p
15p=6
p=6/15
p=2/5
5/6t + 4 = 2 – 1/6t
6/6t+4=2
t+4=2
t=-2
