So many people end up having a relationship, an adoration even, for not just the information itself but the books that contain it. The book brings the bibliophile stimulation, pleasure, contact with the world and thus this person develops a special relationship with the medium of books. Think about how a bibliophile gets to love the feel, shape, smell, and other features of books. Is that similar to how you feel about your phone?

What are some key differences, though? Can you figure out how a book works? How about your cell phone?

Another angle might be comparing how you feel when you are with a person you have a close relationship and how your phone makes you feel. Compare and contrast what you value in a person vs. what you value in a phone. How would absence from a person you have a relationship make you feel? how would a similar absence from your phone make you feel?
