effects and affects??
can someone please explain the difference to these words. I have a grammar, spelling, and puncuation test on Wed. and I need some help with the easily mixed words such as affect and effect. thanks.. . . And if you have any other tips to grammar please tell me! Thanks

Effect is a noun. I remember is by the phrase “cause and effect” The rain is the cause and the effect is everything gets wet. Affect is a verb. Its what a person DOES when they want to make a change. The boss affected moral at work by giving everyone the afternoon off.
