Does the sovereign govern the great “Leviathan” according to Hobbe’s theory of commonwealth?
I’m not quite understanding Hobbe’s idea of the commonwealth. Do all men give up their natural given power to govern themselves and their actions to the Leviathan (this mortal god) and does the Leviathan give his power to the sovereign. Are those two different beings??? Please help me!

They are not different. A mortal God is man posing as God, placing himself above others. Simplified, it’s, “I’m the decider because I say so.”
