Does anyone have ideas for a social studies presentation?

In social, I have to make a presentation that shows who I am. It’s supposed to display what makes me, me. From my hobbies to my heritage, to friends and family. This seems fairly easy right? Well my teacher asked us to make a CREATIVE presentation….and I have no idea how I am going to present this. I don’t want to be unorigional and do a powerpoint, or collage with speech. What can I do to get attention of a bunch of high school students? I am open to all suggestions.

A scrapbook

Fill it with things that are important to you….

like a profile on yahoo.

Page One: Where did you ancestors come from?

include pictures downloaded from the net that you can cut out and decorate the page with……

***include something about interesting ancestors, famous relatives, family history stories passed down from mom or dad or grandparents

Page Two: Where were you born?

Find a picture of the hospital……….or a picture of the kind of car’s backseat where you hatched….lol

Page Three: Where all have you lived?

Give some pictures of cities or towns you have lived in before here. ……..or a pic of your hometown, your house, your yard…whatever….just something

Page Four: Places you have traveled……….what interesting things did you learn or see there?

include travel photos …interesting postcards…..

Page Five: What you like to do for fun?

Page Six: Volunteer work you do?

Page Seven: Hobbies you have?

Page Eight: Where you plan to live when you get out of high school….

Page Nine: Where do you plan to travel in the future?

Page Ten: What you plan to do with your life?

employment, where you will live, what fun things you plan to do

could make pages about anything that interests you …such as politics, watching movies, music you love, anything

Buying a scrapbook is expensive…..instead….

go buy a 3ring binder and fill it with those clear paper covers …..decorate the paper with your topic….then slip it into the clear sheet

the creativity comes in on the part of designing the scrapbook and decorating the pages in some weird way

( this is also a lot of fun to do)….

find someone who does scrapbooks and get their advice

there are tonssssssss of websites on this and many stores that sell scrapbook supplies….

this could really become a fun hobby for you

:o) …………….good luck!!!

Does your culture include any dances/ rituals/ songs/ outfits? You could do something like that. Or maybe you could make a big “story book” explaining your life and culture. Or maybe a mirage like use two hangers and hang a bunch of cool things. Or if you culture includes any art like if your relatives make pots/ quilts, etc. you could make something and bring that in. Just a few ideas, hope i inspired you (:

in accordance with how imaginative your instructor enable you to be, you’re able to do diagrams, a comedian form define (in case you have any resourceful applications), or in step with danger a skit highlighting the small print of your subject count. this is comical or severe or perhaps contain a number of your friends. instructors like it once you attempt to think of exterior of the field on the initiatives they assign!

I had to do this….I cooked something….I made it in front of the room. I had everything cut and ready to go in….(if it has to be cooked, just bring one in ready to go so the class can taste it) That way you can say you like to cook, you can cook something that your family passed down to you and the class will love it. THEY GET TO EAT. It worked out great for me!
